As part of their ongoing quest toward relevancy, the NHL planned an outdoor game for New Year’s Day. In Buffalo, New York. On New Year’s Day, which you’ll remember is in January. I really don’t understand why anyone is surprised that they have in fact forced these two teams to play a non-exhibition game—one that might have actual, real implications in the standings—essentially, in a blizzard.
